
Inova-Ria is one of the founding partners of the ISCA Corporate Network which was officially launched today at the Auditório Joaquim José da Cunha do @Instituto Superior de Contabilidade of Administração da Universidade de Aveiro - ISCA-UA.
The integration in this network fits in our strategy to foster the transfer of technology and knowledge between academia and the business market and to promote the connection and proximity with regional entities.
To mark the launch of the network, there was a ceremony at ISCA today, February 13, where the words of the Rector of the University of Aveiro (UA), Paulo Jorge Ferreira, the Director of ISCA-UA, Elisabete Vieira and the President of the Academic Association of UA, Wilson Carmo, were heard.
To mark its 51st anniversary, 51 partners were invited to be part of this cooperation and technology transfer network, interconnection and knowledge. The objective of the Network is to promote the connection between the University of Aveiro and business and non-business entities. It also aims to stimulate the transmission of knowledge and technology and the creation of synergies between the companies themselves, in matters pertaining to the ISCA-UA intervention area.
The creation of this network also seeks to stimulate "cultural and humanistic activities in favor and close interaction with the surrounding community". The ISCA Corporate Network intends to "establish new relationships of mutual interest and consolidate existing ones, particularly in the areas of teaching, research, internships and other activities and projects.
The launch event included a visit to the ISCA facilities, whose spaces have been renovated, with the opening session where words were heard from the Rector of the University of Aveiro, Prof. Dr. Paulo Jorge Ferreira, the Director of ISCA-UA, Prof. Dr. Elisabete Vieira and the President of the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro, Wilson Carmo.
The event also included a round table where the impact of WEB 3.0 in the commercial, digital and tax strategies of companies was debated. The panel included the speakers Sara Teixeira, from the company Exclusible, and Paulo Anjos, from the company Anjos & Associados - SROC, Lda., and was moderated by the ISCA-UA teachers João Miguel Lopes and Jorge Martins. It was intended, to propitiate an open and participated discussion on themes such as Web3/Metaverse and its challenges/impact in marketing strategies and in the world of business/brands, as well as the implications of this new digital reality, from the point of view of company taxation. Questions related to the metaverse and the web 3.0 tax framework were asked and clarified within the framework that is known today.
Each founding member of the network received their diploma of integration into the network. Inova-Ria's diploma was received by the President, Rui Lopes.
