CTT has taken another step towards decarbonising its logistics operations with the launch of its first fully electric heavy-duty truck in Northern Portugal, reinforcing the company’s strategy for energy transition and sustainable mobility.

With an estimated range of around 200 km, the new vehicle is currently operating in the Greater Porto area, carrying out regular distribution and supply routes, with plans to expand operations to the Ovar region.

According to CTT, this initiative is expected to reduce approximately seven tonnes of CO₂ emissions by the end of the year, contributing to a more efficient, sustainable and technologically advanced logistics operation. The project also represents an opportunity to test new operational models, optimise routes and accelerate the electrification of the company’s fleet.

CTT’s commitment to sustainable mobility also includes the future integration of vehicles powered by HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), further strengthening the company’s efforts to reduce emissions and modernise logistics operations.
