On 4 July, Inova-Ria will facilitate Focus Group 2 – Data, ESG Governance and Reporting Capacity, a session taking place at the Pavilhão da Caldeira, Pombal, as part of the GreenTruck Project.
GreenTruck is a collaborative initiative that aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of SMEs operating in the road freight transport sector by promoting the adoption of innovative technologies and solutions, raising awareness and building capacity for sustainable practices, and developing a digital platform to monitor key indicators such as fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and operational efficiency.
As part of the project, two Focus Groups will bring together companies, experts and stakeholders to identify challenges, validate solutions and define priorities for a more sustainable road freight transport sector.
Focus Group 2: Data, ESG Governance and Reporting Capacity
Inova-Ria will be responsible for facilitating Focus Group 2, starting at 4:00 p.m., dedicated to the challenges surrounding ESG data management, sustainability reporting and the growing regulatory requirements in this area.
Key discussion topics include:
- Challenges in implementing ESG practices;
- Collection, management and reporting of sustainability data;
- Building organisational capacity to meet ESG reporting requirements;
- Opportunities to accelerate the green transition through innovation and digitalisation.
The outcomes of the Focus Groups will contribute to the development of recommendations and practical proposals for the sector, including new business models, cost estimates, funding opportunities, partnerships and policy recommendations.
About the GreenTruck Project
GreenTruck is an initiative designed to support the green transition of the road freight transport sector by helping SMEs adopt technological solutions that improve operational efficiency while reducing their environmental impact.
The project is developed by a consortium comprising ANTRAM – Portuguese National Association of Public Road Freight Transport Companies, Inova-Ria – Association of Companies for an Innovation Network in Aveiro, and the Institute of Telecommunications, bringing together expertise in transport, innovation, digitalisation and applied research.
