The transformation of the logistics and transport sector continues to accelerate, driven by the need to improve operational efficiency, reduce emissions and adopt more sustainable solutions for heavy mobility.

As a partner of the GreenTruck project, Inova-Ria actively follows and shares relevant initiatives and trends for the technology and business ecosystem, promoting knowledge around innovation, energy efficiency and decarbonisation applied to the transport and logistics sector.

A recent article published by Turbo highlights the integration of nine megatrucks by Luís Simões into Altri’s logistics operations. These larger vehicles help optimise freight transport, increase cargo capacity and reduce the number of required trips, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable operation.

According to the publication, this investment also helps reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions per tonne transported, reflecting the growing importance of operational and technological innovation in the evolution of the logistics sector.

The initiative further reinforces the relevance of integrated solutions aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and accelerating the transition towards smarter and more sustainable transport models.

In this context, collaborative initiatives such as GreenTruck play an increasingly important role in supporting companies and organisations in adopting more efficient, digital and low-emission transport solutions for the future.

Through these content shares, Inova-Ria aims to continue connecting companies, technology and knowledge around the major challenges and trends shaping the future of sustainable mobility and smart logistics.
